[No Name Series Monoprints-Xerox Transfer Method]
or...minor hallucinations for etching press, Gum Arabic and a bad xerox machine.
Again with the long nights and etching press. This time, after drawing with wet charcoal and graphite (on location at the No Name) we make bad xerox copies of the drawings and douse them in gum arabic, cover them with printer's ink, then wash the drawing off with water. The ink sticks to the xerox toner, but washes off elsewhere. The gum arabic is the agent for this discrimination. We then run the inked drawing (on an acrylic plate) through the press and get a one-off print from this process. These are then lightly worked over with soft and hard graphites or ink after all is dry. These are all approximately 9"x12".
